Has anyone tried this app? Looks interesting. It is a FREE GPS navigation app.

I tried it a while back and I didn't care for it to much.

What were the problems u encountered?

I have used it, Good app once you get the hang of it... If I had my Storm 6 months ago I would not have bought my Garmin.

good enough for me can't find a satellite from my house but i'll try it outside tomorrow.

I liked it, but it wasn't very friendly. Hard nav. Through it
When your in a hurry. I loved that you could see the actual
Buildings and the names on it.

I also tried it a while ago. Didn't seem to run properly on my Storm. If I remember the user interface was not extremely functional and downloading of information took forever.

Garmin is the way to go :arms:

My friends with curves liked it. I didn't think it worked to well on storm so I deleted it. Just didn't seem to work well with touchscreen. To much user input required

kinda strange but the app is only like 3/4mb or something like that but when you reboot after loading you reboot at a little over 2mb less than before install.it must download maps or something to your flash memory.

you have to remember that though the app is less than 1MB it has processes that run so they will take up space as well, as they envoke the gps on the phone

true,just didn't think that it would cause to boot at such a lower memory even when the app wasn't running.any way i dumped it and gained my 2+mb back

i might consider getting it when i get my storm2. since they don't allow for switching devices i won't buy it now since i've had my storm for almost a year and will be shelving it soon.

lol yea, the third party gps apps, envoke bb maps, and the gps, if i remember right, and even though they dont run in the background, they still have processes started so that they can run properly

I've had Amaze, Garmin, and Vz navigator and i agree Garmin is the way to go. If you cant afford the the lifetime of your device price which is $79 - $99 depending on where you look, Handango has a $9.99/month price right here:

Garmin - $9.99/month

This is what I'm using till storm 2 comes out, then I'll buy the lifetime :439:

nice...didn't know they had monthly. how bout if you get lifetime and your device craps out?
