Thread: Are app designers and project managers in demand with BlackBerry ?

Where can I find developers who are in need of new ideas...... For semi professional, but interested in it as a hobby, possibly a career. I'm "smarter than the average bear" when it's comes to technology...experienced but no degree lol.

If someone could please shoot me in the right direction..I'd be much appreciative...

Hi Bonnie, there are many ways to reach out to developers. You could search on social networks, or even the BlackBerry Jam Zone site which is the official site of BlackBerry for developers.

You can start here at https://developer.blackberry.com/ there are tons of resources out there for developers and those that are curious about it learning it. You can also check out the BlackBerry - Manuals and Guides for Developers for more info as well.

Cool thnx...yeah I don't think I wanna into the field of codeding or translating...Etc etc...that would take me years to master. I wanna use what I DO know, and apply it to the development world... My world (music/Arts industry) is soooo lacking of good apps... I wanna either help..or jump on in withbthe dev'ing. Hehe

That is a great idea. You could share some of your ideas in the forums here we have developers that visit frequently, and you may spark a new app idea.

So for the 3 days I've been focusing and reading and watching tutorials about app development...step by step..downloading files and simulators an so on..... I've come to the realization that....damnnntheres... Theses years worth of knowledge I need to aquire..lol..

With that said... I think I'll stay in my original field of video production...especially now that Sony Vegas products 12 is out!!! *and guessnwho just acquired it* since I have a 3ds now.. I can shoot 3d video and edit in 3d on the new Vegas...

I'm also thinking of learning a new software in adobe.. Muse looks interesting... If I were to do any flash it would be html5.. Being that I started learning html5 and java script in high school hooligans 15 years ago... I feel I should stay near that field lol..

So development on... Who knows maybe there will be a "game apps ideas discussions" board on BBOS one day...

Codecademy is a great place to start if you want to learn HTML5, ect.

Yeah I was wondering where in the heck I was gonna start...webworx eventually started taking me in circles..lol and adobe..man I am gonna have one he'll of a day the day I actually sit down and read everything the have to offer, lol.. Lol my eye balls already hurt...I'm used to graphics and video and movement..lol I was getting soooo lost in the world of css

To me it's like music production. You have producers who use all kinds of different programs like acid products... Ableton...fruity loops etc etc..then u have those who use midi devices...some are organic instrumentalists...and then u have discovered where...now if u have a device...u can use virtual decks...which automatically makes u a dj...lmao.. (sorry I'm a old school vinyl dj myself..hah)

But....I still don't know which skill I wanna delve into... I think I'm just being 31... Mid life career change...it's bitch.

Well, learning HTML5 you will have the ability to web design and develop cross platform. BlackBerry has Webworks, which once you get a good idea of HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript, you can really make some great apps. And if you are already a designer, that's a skill that many coders don't have.

So... I've been optimizing mysettings in vegas the last few hours...that and snaging content from YouTube...and you know.. I thought...hmm I dontbhave to use actual video footage to make a video. That's when I searched some loops in YouTube from Opera Next...and mannnn...the flash loops on YouTube now dyas are amazing!!!!!...justbq fewbyears ago u couldn't find spit...

So to start my first Vegas 12 project I'm using 3d video from the legend of zelda ocrina ofntime... So I can actually use real 3d...and as farnas music... Hah..you already know I have 30 LoZ remixes ready to be downsized into the mini video... Hehehe okay I'm off to star something new hehehehe
