It can only be done with a software that allows one to extract the cod. files along with the axl. or jad. file.

Isn't this what this program does? I'm not sure, as I didn't try it out, and the OP was vague in explaining how the program does that.

Yea, it seems like you put the link to the OTA in the software, and then it downloads like it would a device, but extracts the cod. files an the jad. file so that they can be installed via desktop manager. So it must create a axl. file, or it figures out a way to use the jad file via DM.

I just want make a precision.

If the jad url is available for an user, it's really easy to dowload the cod files because all is described in the jad file.

So if the user share the jad file and the app isn't free, it's his own responsability.

I created GMYJ for download free application which didn't give a zip format to download. I haven't data plan and my storm hasn't wifi connection. So use my application is the only way to install apps on my bb.

I do not endorse pirating apps.

Note that its extremely easy to make a .jad file, and .alx isn't too far behind... It's just some text with a different filename (i.e:.txt to .alx/.jad)

Also, the .jad file isn't for use with DM, you just put all the .cod files and the .jad file in a folder on your blackberry, browse to it, and click on it, then press download (it doesn't really download it, as it is in the folder, but it installs it)
