Hi,
I seek some info/feedback, to support my BlackBerry-related developments. I made a simple application called MediaDetector, which will display information about the supported audio/video codecs of the smartphone it runs on. If a few of you would be kind enough to install it and send the output, or the screenshot of the output back here, it'd be most helpful.
The application doesn't connect to the network, nor digs into any kind of data on your phone. It doesn't use any secure APIs either. It mostly uses example code from the multimedia-related parts of the BlackBerry JDE.
It's available from here:
Index of /software/blackberry/mediadetector
Or to ease the installation on your phone:
http://tinyurl.com/mediadetector
The output of the app should look like this:
To be a bit more specific, I look for the output of the app from the following devices (in order of importance): 9800 Torch, 9670 Style, 9780 Bold, 9300 Curve 3G and 9105 Pearl 3G.
If you don't want to post your output here, you can also send it to this e-mail address:
chainq68k (at) gmail.com
Thanks for your help.
