Thread: Google Maps Updated

Google maps has been updated to Version 3.2.1

After playing with it for a few minutes I cannot discern what changes if any have been made.

it now works in landscape...

where is the link? i went to m.google.com/maps and it only has the 3.2.0 version

Edit: i went to m.google.com then selected maps an it bring up the download page for 3.2.1, Thanks

It has always worked in landscape on my Storm.

Installed and I don't see any updates either. Landscape has always worked on my phone as well.

unless you wiped your phone it worked on the version you had... once 5.0 came out the google downloader would recognize it and make you download a trackball version

Was flick scrolling the map always as responsive as I just experience after updating?

Still not sure what has changed!!!

Maybe it's cause I want to see something changes, but the menu (atleast for latitude) seem snappier, map seem to load/refresh quicker. Seems like it runs a little better, like things r well put together finally..lol then again, like i said, I just might b seeing all this because I want to see something changed and therefore is forcing myself to see the change. lol

Never had that issue. What I did find is that it always installed itself in compatibility mode which seemed to assume that my phone had a trackball. But as soon as I would disable compatibility mode it would work perfectly.

Am i the only one that has the menu pop up on the left top side of my screen when you hit menu button. ever since .328 and the latest version of google maps with layers when ever i hit menu button the list pops up on the left side of the screen and not the right...its very odd.

Mine pops up on the left too. Honestly I don't recall a time when it didn't. But then again I can't remember what I had for lunch either. :haha:
