Thread: Think im getting a droid..

I was just on verizon website and i typed in android in the search bar and a sick thing happend to my computer screen, anyhow it has a bunch of new features. But it has a lame keyboard that slides out, now im stuck, i want a better phone but its eather i upgrade my 9530 to a 9550 or i get android in 3 days... i dont know what to do and its bothering me. someone set me streight and make my life easier.!

I went with the Storm 2. I am partial because i loved the Storm 1 (With leaked software and BBCrackmans Hybrids) but I have had the Storm 2 since Oct 28th and it is the best! All the changes I would have made to the Storm 1 RIM did. I am running more apps and it is faster than ever. Flawless.

I have never had any luck with Motorola phones and the 1st generation Droid (I know Android OS is 2.0) is not my choice to run my business.

Soul I unfortunately can't talk you out of it because I am getting one as well :lmao: but have you checked our Android forum and read up on the Droid and the Eris? Also the passion coming out (sounds like blackfriday or Christmas) is one heck of a beast as well.

I 2nd that as well but worse comes to worse, my 2nd line may me upgraded to the Eris..S2 is real smooth

Im sold on the droid.... the slide out keyboard is actually not as bad as they say IMO..
I got to play a lil with it tday while attempting the S1-S2 upgrade.. (which failed)
Dont forget it also has the virtual keyboard... so you really wouldnt have to use the qwerty at all (if thats your chioce) The S2 yes has made alot of changes to fix the S1 issues we all came to HATE... but ANDROID is growing and can only get better... RIM OSs have come to thier peak IMO. The ladder for them hit the roof, now the only place to go is.. jumpin off that roof!

A better browser would go a long way for RIM. I know its on the way but it needed to be here yesterday. So most likely I'll be the owner of an Android phone in the near future.
