Came across this Verizon site today for those interested in a Droid... DROID DOES
Thanks for sharing, I actually was looking at that site today. The specs on that phone are very impressive! :)
The device, so far, has been very impressive! I got one yesterday and have been well pleased. The user interface is a bit strange, compared to the Storm1 I was using, but it seems to make sense so far... I was becoming increasingly disappointed in RIM for not supporting devices that were not really that old and it seems I have found a new friend in the droid community, as the developers are willing to develop programs and apps that work with all the devices and don't seem fraught with bugs. Strange that RIM doesn't seem to get it...
I have a Droid as a second device to my Storm 2, and while I like the size of the screen, more app options, and the faster CPU, the Android OS still needs a lot of work. Many times it will force close on me, it can be very buggy running certain apps, sometimes the screen motion will lag. It's a great phone until one starts installing apps, then the problems start in. My conclusion is to sell my DroidX for the upcoming BlackBerry Bold "Dakota" when it hits the market.
I imagine a lot of BB users turned Droid will be coming back to the BlackBerry when the series of upcoming devices are on the market this summer/fall. And I think the new BlackBerry OS 6.1 is one more step closer to perfection for RIM and the long hard road to get perfect OS on the BlackBerry.
