Who here is planning to get the nexus one once it comes out for Verizon?
I've been looking around and checking out the phone and it seems to really have grown on me. I, for one, am anxious and excited to get it. I was wondering what fellow berryer's thought of the device. I was ready to get the droid but after checking comparisons the N1 is a way better device. What do you guys think?!
Moved to the Android forum.. I for one plan on staying with my berry. It jsut cant do email simply. I refuse to go through the hassle of getting it to do push email on BIS services
I think you should ask yourself a couple of questions.
First off, have you ever tried to contact Google concerning an issue with their product?
My other question would be that if for some reason you did not like the device and decided to bite the bullet and pay the ETF knowing that you were going to sell the device at a later date, will you break even?
Another issue that I have heard tossed about the boards is the fact that a Verizon Google device will only work on a Verizon network. Same as a T-Mo google device only working on a T-Mo network.
Those are my initial thoughts.
Be aware as if they will be doing the same as they did with tmo on the way of pricing, and they both tmo and google charge u an etf
There is always that rumor of HTC Passion coming to vzw ;)
In regards to Nexus One, vzw in most cases does not like to give up control either...so I think it will be a little different with them. :)
I have a friend that is getting the Nexus One, but, he said that most likely he wont keep it, simply because of Google's customer service..
Which says a lot.. in my opinion..

What does it say about a company that is breaking out the way Google is and to this day no one is able to call them.
The purpose of this stategy is perplexing. We could all speculate as to why a company would choose to explore this avenue of customer support.

I have to ask why would they even bother getting the device when they've already pre-disposed themselves to not keeping it? That honestly doesn't make any sense. They could save that money and pay a couple of car payments for me... :)Quote:

I am on the "N1 bandwagon" as well but I will not actually make the purchase until 2-3 months after its release. I need to read a lot of feedbacks prior to wasting my time w/etfs or returns. I am very satisfied w/my S2 but if N1 does something "Extraordinary" then I may consider. With the S3 rumor, am hoping the two devices drop relatively close. Honestly, I *really* like my Storm, it's just slow. I've used my wife's Droid, and the browsing experience is just light years ahead. Bigger screen, better resolution, better compatibility, more memory, faster processor... I'm in love with the clicky screen and messaging abilities -- I'd hate to give it up, but unless RIM can give do a lot better in a hurry, I'm gonna have a hard time resisting the pull. Web browsing is just too high a priority for me.
I've played around with both the Droid and the N1; and although the N1 has better specs, I'm actually really liking the slide-out keypad that the Droid has; it makes walking and typing a lot easier =)Quote:
