    No kidding. Especially as now there's yet more rumors about a phone like the Google phone coming to Verizon. I guess this is what I get for listening to rumors, huh? I'm just jealous because my wife gets a Droid today!

    the nexus one is an HTC phone called the passion with the branding taken off. The passion is in fact coming to verizon so in a way verizon will be getting the google phone...

    It's hard keeping track of all of the names but the nexus one, AKA Google Phone, will be an HTC phone however, it will not be coming to VZW at least not initially. Google will sell it either unlocked or via T-Mobile. It looks like people will be able to being ordering it Jan 5

    As of the press release today, VZW will get the genuine Google Nexus One(albeit a CDMA version), and subsidize it, but not until "Spring". Phew. So T-Mobile people can field test it, and hopefully work out all the kinks before I get my hands on it...
