Good news is the update has started to roll (see BGR). Bad news is it's not 2.x but a 1.6.x version.

If it is the 1.6, then Nav will work. Are you sure it is 1.6, can anyone verify?

EDIT: I don't think this is 1.6, I believe that this is still 1.5, but just a minor update of it.

I believe it is 1.6 and I'm not sure but I think 1.6 its google navigator capable... Am I right?

That's what I thought. This is a very minor update.

It is not an actual OS update, just a simple revision on the current OS.

It doesn't address battery life issues...but may be fixing the 1x/3G issue, it will help. Also for people that still have bad battery issues, I have read that first batch of eris' could have been bad, and an exchange is necessary. The newer ones, from what I hear are really good or I should say significantly better. :)

That is correct sir. Just some minor bug fixes. I believe the anticipated rollout for OS 2.0 is January.

am i the only one that feel as if the phone is a little bit more laggy after this update/revision? I can't remember installing anything more than the apps i originally had, but feel the phone is a little bit slower now.

Try instaling an app called spare parts this should greatly speed things up.

We have had of the 15 eris's sold (from my small store) had 11 come back since the update because they freeze during phone calls, just shut off randomly...

And I've read a lot of people with MotoDroid's complaining of problems after that update too. Have you seen many issues in your store with the updated MotoDroid Josh?

Strange. I did the full OS update instead of the OTA one and have had no issues whatsoever. As a matter of fact, I can say that with the exception of once when my phone froze due to weatherbug I have had zero problems. And from a phone perspective, the Eris is much better sounding and holds a better signal than any BB I have owned.

No trouble with the moto as of yet... but we didnt sell as many because of price.

the update seemd to help.. the last one that came back was 2 days old.. he hadnt even loaded his contacts yet. I loaded a couple of tools I had seen people talk about he left and came back in less than 2 hours with it froze in a phone call again.. i didnt know what to say. It doesnt help that vzw has NO answers for stuff like this.. he upgraded to the MOTO, and I hope he doesnt have any trouble with it.. I thought we might see 2 or 3.. not 11.... of the 11 only 1 we couldnt actually find problems with and kept as used the others we sent back to vzw

I did my Droid update OTA and its flawless. :D

I agree with Jlevy on this one...I also did a full ROM flash and it's been great. If it's acting out, it's usually due to a new app or one of the 100+ that I have loaded :crazy: :D

I am really hoping for 2.0 to come soon :p
