I agree with Jlevy on this one...I also did a full ROM flash and it's been great. If it's acting out, it's usually due to a new app or one of the 100+ that I have loaded :crazy: :D

I am really hoping for 2.0 to come soon :p

How is the full ROM flash done, do you root the phone or is it an option in the update?

Unfortunately rooting is not available yet...but here are the instructions for manual update or full ROM flash:

Hey Bob follow go the link Olta posted and follow the instructions it's pretty straight forward. It replaces the whole OS so make sure you back everything up. If you have any questions let us know

Thank you both. I now remember reading Olta's post awhile back. I'm without any sort of Android at this point and I think the Eris may not be good for me with its battery life & think I'd like more power. :)

That process of updating sounds like the better choice rather than a partial OTA update (just more work for those with the confidence). :cool:
