That's right. It will be released in the first 2 weeks of January. Kind of depressing but Tmobile is a good Carrier and much cheaper.
Also, this is supposed to be the "Google" phone. So I guess the idea of it being only VOIP is no longer the case.

I've heard of tweets going out that say the "Google" phone is coming to T-Mo in Jan but nothing that says the Passion. Besides most rumors declare the Dragon as the CDMA equivalent to the Passion. And most rumors about the "Google" phone say that HTC most likely isn't making it. Soo....

Doesn't mean the Dragon still isn't coming to Verizon, it also has been confirmed in a leak. Here's that story:

So maybe this is HTC's big phone to put against the iPhone. That's what sounds like is shaping up to me...

Don't remember what rss feed I read it on but it said that the code name "Passion" is listed twice in the leaked ROM, speculating two devices with VZW still in the mix. Only time will tell.

If I had to guess I would say Gphone will go with TMO and will be made by HTC. Google is loyal and those were the two companies that gave google their first phone. But of course that is merely a guess so time will tell.Wirelessly posted (9530 Storm)

The original poster edited their article to say that is will be a Google Experience phone instead of THE google phone.
So maybe we will get the carrier independent google phone after all.

As of this morning it is still speculation that the Passion is THE Google phone and speculation it will be going to TMO. There is also the mysterious appearance a G1/Hero "clone" that may make it's way to AT&T with a snapdragon processor. That would be 2 on their network. If it happens.

Looks like the HD2 with no hardware buttons and running Android with no Sense UI...at least that what I gather.
