Thread: MotoDroid & HTC Eris question

Since I cannot go & play with phones and do all my "information & investigation" online or via phone, I have what some may consider a dumb question.

Since I've been using a MotoDroid I know Google Search is built is quite nicely, with voice search too. I was wondering if phones like the Eris or Hero had the same search capabilities (without the navigation the MotoDroid has of course).

Google search on the Eris is not as robust as the Android and the reason is due to OS 2.0. With the Eris the google search only searches the internet where on the Android it searches contacts and much more.

Yes it will. As soon as the Eris gets the update it will add the extended google search functionality

Has it been announced if 2.1 will have the Google Nav?

I have to assume it will, but you never know.
