For anyone using an Eris, download an app from the market place called Spare Parts. It's like a turbo booster for the phone.

FYI my contact is now officially waiting on his contact. so I am still waiting. He was with me on what was said that the Moto will always have the newest, although other devices will get what it has it will have it first.

I just watched it from your thread.. like I said from what we were told all devices will get it, just not before the moto. and supposedly not before the moto gets the new. 2.1 is nothing more than 2.0 with a few bug fixes if memory serves me the next is 3.0 Flaun or Flan or whatever lol

Well, Flan is a culinary delight I enjoy even more than Eclairs, so i'm hoping the new OS (or more accurately, Service Pack) is even better. Although (like any other OS, period) it has some quirks, 2.0 is quite a nice piece of work IMHO. Especially for a .0 release

Most certainly, flan is a tasty delight. I would be happy to have my OS named after it lol

Apparently the "Real" Android isn't even out yet. It will debut on the GPhone.

Supposedly it is a cross between Android now and the Chrome OS.

Yes, I have heard that it will be made by HTC and that it will not be for a specific carrier but will be VOIP using Google Voice and Gizmo5.

Supposedly will be ~2 times faster than iPhone.
