Umm ok i feel like a fool 'cause i can't figure out how to do this properly, so care to help out and tell me where i can find the option to turn it off? lol.
Or rather, is there a way to get rid of the native messaging app all together and use Handcent only?
Cause now that I look at the settings for the native app, it seems like i'll b turning off the notification but the sms/mms will still b going to the native one as well, just the phone wouldn't notify me.

yea the double txt's rn't fun at all lol.



Also, anyone having problems sending mms to iPhone users? 2 of my friends that have iPhones, don't get any of my mms, but everyone else, regardless of the network, is getting it. But i do get MMS from them, i don't get it lol.

That's alright... Ok, so open the native SMS app, then menu>settings...and you will find the notifications there. Make sure to uncheck it and you should be good to go. Until the device gets rooted, unfortunately, nothing can be removed. I would have loved to use Shrink-A-Os before updating :p

Yea i got rid of the notification, i guess i'll just get rid of the app icon so i don't see the message indicator showing 1 lol. but in my head i'll know it's there hahaha.

Also, i had to do batter pull early today, was playing pandora and phone froze. Couldn't slide the lock screen and hitting menu didn't help. Let it sit for a few mins and screen would just stay on, so did the batter pull and nothing was erased. Figured i'll add that in.
