Thread: Salling Media Sync (Free Software)

I purchased the Moto Droid last night and was suprised at how small the packaging was. This is because you basically get the charger/data cable, the phone, and some paperwork. Where's the CD with all the desktop software? Is it missing? Nope! It doesn't come with that.

I wanted to sync my media with my new Droid, so I searched the internet and found this handy program called Salling Media Sync. This allowed me to get all my songs, playlist, podcast onto my the Droid free of charge. It's not as flashy as Blackberry Media Sync, but the outcome was the same.

Doesn't work on the Eris

Oh well good old drop and drag works just fine for me

Don't know if anyone noticed but the Motorola Phone Tools costs money (I think the download was ~$50 and is not compatible with the Droid yet).

Yeah I ordered the Droid and big red sent me the Eris at: but to tell you the truth I am really digging the Eris right now. So I am going to take my time and play with this one. I wen the the vzw store yesterday to play with the Droid but I just didn't like the feel of it. The Eris feels more solid and the thickness is perfect.

The trackball turned me off on that device. After the Curve & Tour I'm staying away from trackballs.

I hear ya so far it is only needed to run the camera, I haven't used it for anything else.

Really? That seems odd. I bet it does more but the touch screen is used instead right? Kind of like the D-pad on the Droid?
