You would think so but also a major problem with the iPhone (which has push and pull email setup). If you are connected to wifi and it gets disconnected, the handover back to the network royally screws something up. Don't know why it happens but been a problem for my wife ever since she owned the 1st version

    someone asked about HTML email....

yes it does.i was hoping it would just pop it up instead of havig to do anything different but you still have to fetch images. however it is better than the storm experience for 2 reasons. when you get an html email there will be a button on the top of the screen that says"get images". i quick touch and a few seconds later you can read it in it's full HTML glory....i guess the second part was covered in the original sentence....it's a lot faster getting the images.

very interesting bryan....i haven't used wifi but i set it up just to test your theory... i tried it the first time and it took about 2 minutes...on the second try it was about 10 seconds just like 3g...may have been a hiccup on the first try
Thanks Cat for doing that! It just occurred to me that it may have been an issue. I am glad to know that it seemed to adjust itself after the first attempt. Even 2 minutes is better than what we saw on the video last night. I am just happy it is averaging about 10 seconds on VZW network as I don't see myself using wifi all that much anyway. I didn't when I owned Palms :lmao:

So enough with the positives, tell us what you find that you think needs help or could be issues for those coming from a BB. For example, how is the on screen keyboard in your opinion compared to the Storm 2. How is the physical qwerty keyboard.

on screen key board IMO is a ton easier than using the storm1 keyboard. honestly i haven't used the pullout but a couple of times...it was a little ify but i'm sure i could get used to it if i tried.i will mostly be using the onscreen keyboard.

so far i cannot find any cut/paste on here...maybe i'm missing it or maybe it's not here

i'm trying to find a way to hide unwanted icons...like visual voicemail and so far i haven't been able i'm pretty sure they can't be deleted but i'd at least like to hide them or tuck them into a folder....i'm still trying

    of course no BBM

i'm sure i will run across some more but right now that's about it...

Have to say the Droid is a snappy device, played with it at lunch at a vzw store and was amazed how fast and smooth it was. Then played with Storm 2, and noticed nothing interesting. LOL Have to think about whether to move to the droid as soon as I can upgrade. Keep the reviews coming...

went by VZW store at lunch to check out the Moto & HTC droids....both are really neat....none of the lag I'm used to with the Storm in moving between apps, browser, widgets, etc.....really smooth...

told the cute VZW girl I was looking at the droid, but knew I couldn't even think about an upgrade yet because my 1 yr anniversary wasn't until the end of January...told her I was fed up with my Storm...she checked her system and said I couldn't upgrade until Sept. 2010, so I asked what about the 1 yr....she said I'd have to call customer service to find that out..then gave me a "too f'ing bad" smile...

called *611 and got a real nice lady who said that I should be able to get an upgrade at 1 year, so I'll see the reviews on the new devices and make my move then....

shouldn't have gone in and played around with the droids, because now I REALLY want one....will be tough to wait until end of January...:17:

How are viewing Docs. Have you opened up a word doc or pdf. Curious as to how good they render.

found a nice free app for repeating audible notifications of missed calls/sms/mms.

for J's post wanting me to find negatives....

i haven't found a way to have custom sms notifications for each contact...although i never used that feature on my storm.
