    HTC Eris Demo

Looks live Big Red has released a video demo of the HTC Eris like they did with the Droid. Well this device is very nice looking I think I will stick with the Droid, but I know some of you are seriously considering this one.

Do you guys know if it will be upgradeable to Android 2.0? I kind of like this one better than the Droid by Motorola.

this one seems more functional to me. One of the most surprising things many will find out tomorrow about the Motorola Droid is none of the 4 hard keys access the phone. So to make a phone call for example you have to go through a few steps. Also muting the ringer when someone calls is also a series of steps. Kind of annoying.

    :laugh2:

You have to go into the phone widget to access phone features. Something I was surprised at when I played with the Droid. But from the video of the Eris looks like HTC got that right.

Hmm interesting indeed, doesn't make a lot of sense to set it up that way but then again I am pretty sure these phone designers are the one and the same as the road engineers.

No device will be perfect. The choice comes downs to what suits your fancy. While it doesn't make a lot of sense it wouldn't be a deal breaker for me. Just wait to see how fast the Droid is. You will forget they messed up on the hard keys

J, I think it will be one of 2: either you forget that they messed up on hard keys or you will be ready to throw phone against wall and fire the designers :haha:
