    DROID DOES... support Multi-touch

Everyone says the iphone is better because it has multi-touch... well guess what... DROID DOES..too... Heres proof..

The Droid DOES support this feature...unfortunately, some dumbass, didnt feel the need to add its capabilities to the default apps such as Browser, pictures, etc...

As a reformed iPhone user I don't see what the big deal is with multi-touch. It's an ok feature but I don't see any real advantage to it over double tap other than it looks pretty which seems to be all the rage today.

I just want to point out that ANY capacitive screen device TECHNICALLY supports multitouch. Even the S1 has multitouch and there is a demo available that proves it. Software support is another thing altogether; just like some applications don't support right-clicking of the mouse; for example, some won't support multitouch. It is pretty stupid that the native apps that would benefit from multitouch don't get it from the factory; but it is probably a case of Google being overly cautious with Apple's patents; as I understand it the GSM version does support multitouch.

And Leo, I know what you mean; double-tapping has ALWAYS seemed easier to me to do as a one-handed action, compared to pinch zooming. It's very hard to hold a device in one's hand; and do a controlled pinch-zoom gesture all at the same time. It seems to me that pinch-zooming would be more useful on a large multitouch device; like one of those Microsoft Surface things (or whatever they are called) - although I do think it should at least be an OPTION.

I concur aswell ... the pinch/ zoom is merely a dramatic effect... but the use of MULTI-touch itself has MANY other applications that are useful aswell. (ie cut n paste)

I just wanted to post this because ive heard so many rumors that multi-touch in general was NOT supported at all by this Device.(as far as the CDMA version) This puts those to rest. The support is there as long as the software permits!
