It is unbelievable how much the screen and OS improvements make you feel about the phone. The OS on the droid looks fast but it isn't that nice looking to me. The reviewer makes a great point in saying that the droid has a better browser experience but hell an LG Env touch probably does too. lol. When all is said and done I think this battle will come down to the hardware. Nobody can touch RIM's messaging infastructure, if the they can reinvent their web browser we might actually have a crowned touch screen king for VZW. Hopefully within my lifetime. Also lets not forget that this Droid phone is made by Motorola, who in my opinion make the worst smart phones in the world. I think the OS on it will make up for a lot of that but as far as having a reliable, durable, stable phone I will stick with my Storm2 and Opera mini 4.2 until beta 5 works properly. The review that could put me on the fence again is the MEDIA PLAYER comparison. I want grid view album art and or scroll. Also, where's a decent desktop media player that will sync photos and videos? RIM, Google just make your own! If you can make sweet mobile OS's why cant you make a decent piece of desktop software to help you drive those sales!? BTW, jst tryed group mesusaging with BBM today, it rocks! We are now going to implement it at work for our sales team!

Okay that's my piece, first post!! Yay! Thanks Bryan for setting me up
Dang glad I took the time to set you up :lmao: great first post and welcome :fing02:

I think that this vid is a bit Droid bias but for me sells me on the storm2. The native browser is slower but everything else said is not 100% accurate (ie icons on the home page) and the physical keyboard does not look too user friendly. It reminds me of why I did not like the G1 that space on the left side just throws me off. I have my S2 arriving tomorrow, but if its as billed as an S1 that works like it should and even better i will be happy. Great review!

    wow 900 posts....sweet.

Just went by the Verizon Store and checked out the Droid cause I was going to get one tomorrow.

But once I picked it up I immediately said NO! Just didn't like the feel of it.
The keyboard I thought was tough to use compared to the S1(on .328). From all the reviews and videos of it I thought it would be awesome but couldn't get past the physical hardware and feel.
Not sure it can be done IMO- both large touch screen and physical keyboard- didn't like the slide out keyboard at all and I normally like hidden keyboards and hate flip phones. I don't like full QWERTY keyboards because I can type way faster on the TrueType - I was fastest on the Pearl - loved that phone.

If your seriously thinking about getting this phone I would swing by a store to see if they will let you look at one before waiting in line tomorrow and not liking it.
The screen and features just weren't enough to justify switching right now.
Maybe the next phones will do it for me.

Welcome to and great first post.

I agree the keyboard were deal breakers for me, in playing with it I thought both options were just too painful. I think the reason a lot of the reviewers give the keyboard decent remarks is many of them are current users of the iPhone were the screen is equally small and painful. But as you stated a trip to VZW is a must before purchasing this phone blindly.
