I think that this vid is a bit Droid bias but for me sells me on the storm2. The native browser is slower but everything else said is not 100% accurate (ie icons on the home page) and the physical keyboard does not look too user friendly. It reminds me of why I did not like the G1 that space on the left side just throws me off. I have my S2 arriving tomorrow, but if its as billed as an S1 that works like it should and even better i will be happy. Great review!
wow 900 posts....sweet.
for my needs.. THIS is one more thing that sold me on the Droid... i tend to do alot of browsing..and the storm1 is sooo slow.. i figured the S2 would follow suit.
Thanx for the Vid... great find..
Just went by the Verizon Store and checked out the Droid cause I was going to get one tomorrow.
But once I picked it up I immediately said NO! Just didn't like the feel of it.
The keyboard I thought was tough to use compared to the S1(on .328). From all the reviews and videos of it I thought it would be awesome but couldn't get past the physical hardware and feel.
Not sure it can be done IMO- both large touch screen and physical keyboard- didn't like the slide out keyboard at all and I normally like hidden keyboards and hate flip phones. I don't like full QWERTY keyboards because I can type way faster on the TrueType - I was fastest on the Pearl - loved that phone.
If your seriously thinking about getting this phone I would swing by a store to see if they will let you look at one before waiting in line tomorrow and not liking it.
The screen and features just weren't enough to justify switching right now.
Maybe the next phones will do it for me.
Welcome to and great first post.
I agree the keyboard were deal breakers for me, in playing with it I thought both options were just too painful. I think the reason a lot of the reviewers give the keyboard decent remarks is many of them are current users of the iPhone were the screen is equally small and painful. But as you stated a trip to VZW is a must before purchasing this phone blindly.
