Discuss Official: OS 7.1.0.569 For BlackBerry Bold 9900 Via Claro Republica Dominicana

Official OS 7.1.0.569 has been released for the Bold 9900 from Claro Republica Dominicana. If you have a Bold 9900 its time once again to get out that USB cord and give your device a fresh OS. And as always, please remember to let us know about any findings/fixes in the comments below.

Note: The Software Platform and Applications version numbers can be found under Options-About screen on the handheld.

I finished the download quite awhile ago and so far all I notice is the damn device analyzer is still not showing up outside of app management! Battery life looks good after 3rd battery pull and got better radio stability that .523 had issues with. All in all was worth the upgrade.

BlackBerry Device Analyzer and a quick code on how to enable it even on the latest OS builds. To enable it simply:

    Open Options,
    Hold ALT & type BBDA
BBDA is now available in: Options > Device > Advanced System Settings > BlackBerry Device Analyzer.

Weird issue. Battery goes from red to radio off in 5 seconds (literally) when on 3G. Anybody else have this?

This happens if your BlackBerry has a low battery it will automatically turn off your radio.

I know THAT. What I meant was the time taken for it to go from only battery level red to radio off is just 5 seconds. Usually it lasts for about 10-15 minutes on red battery before it dies.

Do you have any battery optimization app like fixmo installed? That could be why

Nah, don't have any third party battery app installed. Don't even have any battery tests running from BDA. Plus, this has never been the case with any previous OS. And it's only on 3G. Phone stays on for about 15-20 minutes on EDGE.

This is because 3G uses up a lot more battery than EDGE, you should update your Mobile settings to 3G&2G so that your phone can automatically switch to 2G when on low battery settings. You can manually set it on 2G too if you would like a longer battery life

I know 3G takes up more battery. Reason for posting was because on no previous OS would it shut down that quick. Even on 3G only or even 3G plus 2G it would stay on for 15-20 minutes.
