    Thank you.
Ahh that would have been awesome. I think I'm going to go back to 284. Gave me the BEST battery life.

Yeah, I know it would have been awesome, but at least we have other official OS options available, for example in your case, you're choosing to go .284.

If I may say, do you really want to go down that far consider several official OS updates were released after .284, .267, .342, .391, and .428 (which I choose), but after all, it's what makes you happy, and it works best for you.

    Check out downloads: Bold 9930/9900

    Thank you.

I know, but none of those builds gave be battery life as good as 284. Didn't have any bugs that I noticed either.

Speaking of bugs - 402 and 428 both have this: when disconnecting the mobile hotspot, the green circle keeps rotating till you close the connections screen and open it again. Anybody else experienced this?

Hello amoghranadive, personally, I haven't experienced any major issues with my battery on OS7.1.0.428, but it is kinda funny you mention the issue of the green circle rotating when disconnecting mobile hotspot, so I can relate as you have.

    Thank you.

With all the problems that have been reported in this build (more than usual), I'm beginning to wonder how this actually passed carrier testing, and even RIM's internal testing.

OS7.1.0.437 was not an accident regarding the missing features, as many people may think Goku.

As a matter of fact, RIM sent out OS7.1.0.437 in a full untouched update to this particular vendor, China Unicom, and for some unknown reason, before they released this OS to the general public, they pulled out many features, which defeats the purpose of upgrading this OS to your BlackBerry Bold 9900.

It doesn't make any sense why they removed these features before they released OS7.1.0.437.

Many BlackBerry Bold 9900 owners, were very unhappy with this OS, and can you really blame them?

What Bold 9900 users should remember is not to place the blame on RIM, all they did was send this OS to China Unicom, and the vendor decided to have a hayday on it.

Keep an eye out for future official BlackBerry Bold 9900 OS updates @BlackBerryOS, we'll be sure to test the OS as soon as possible.

    Thank you.

    Sounds logical enough,

This could also be like AT&T with the BlackBerry Bridge situation too, perhaps that telecommunications provider wanted to disable certain functionality from within that OS. Rather than disable it for everyone it would make more sense to disable it from the smartphones they don't want accessing these features.

Another thing I think everyone should note is that if two carriers release identical OS revisions, it definitely is possible for them to include different features and functionality. Granted a user can install an OS from any carrier but because RIM does not handle updates directly via OTA like the PlayBook, once the OS is sent to the telecommunications service provider it's at their discretion.

Well, I'm currently on OS 7.1.0.428 as well...
