I have successfully upgraded from my leaked OS7.1.0.402 to this official OS7.1.0.428, and it seems to be faster, much more responsive, and I'm sure there will be a few other findings I will notice as more time progresses on with my BlackBerry Bold 9900.

Here is a screen shot I took using DM (Desktop Manager) Software showing 7.1 Bundle 1424 (v7.1.0.428, Platform 5.1.0.338)

Hey Vecharo, I am on AT&T. The OS works pretty well so far and the call bug is no longer present.

There are several factors which determines how much memory is consumed.

Let us know if you require further help to determine what may be lowering your BlackBerry Bold 9900 memory.

Hi, the OS itself takes up quite a bit of memory. Then when you add in the apps you downloaded it takes it down even further. Lastly, large memo, text and emails and call logs all chomp away at your available memory. If you go to Options, Application management you can see a listing of all your applications and see which ones use a lot of memory.

i just upgraded into this os but when i check network and connection -> mobile network, i could not see the options to choose 2G or 3G. does it mean that this os will automatically choose the band itself or it is only running at 3G/4G? anyone could help me on this?

It's ok, that's why I ask all our members to update their profile's so in case an issue comes up, I can guide them more accurately.

Here's a screen shot from my BlackBerry Bold 9900, showing Network Mode, not everyone will have the same option(s).

It also depends on your mobile carrier's network.

in my case, it only have the network selection mode: automatic or manual. i don't have the network mode so i could choose the 2G or 3G. when i was in os 7.0, i still could choose 2G or 2G&3G. when i upgrade to os 7.1, i encountered error 507 and asked to re-connect my bb. after i re-connect, the upgrade continue and it is completed. anyway to fix this network issue? my worry is that my bb is running only in 3G so it could be a problem when there is no 3G services.

Where you see the Network Selection Mode, I see Automatic and Manual, then below that, I see Network Mode, as the picture I have attached above shown.

You say you don't have the Network Selection Mode, which means your mobile carrier has only 3G available on their network, or is it possible they don't offer 4G (H+) network yet?

Find out who your mobile carrier is, go to their website, which should give you all the necessary information about what services they offer.

    Thank you.
