Hello cvgpaulgo, when did you update to this leaked OS7.1.0.342 version for your BlackBerry Bold 9900?

Regarding the battery issue, you say you're charging it every 4 hours is not normal, I strongly suggest either checking out the OS feature called BlackBerry Device Analyzer, then click to Battery Tests, then scroll to Battery draining too quickly that will give you a good indication what is causing the rapid battery drain.

If this continues, then worse case, replacing the battery may be your only solution.

Let us know the outcome by replying below.

    Also, if I may suggest, I have posted an update for BlackBerry Bold 9900 users, an Official OS7.1.0.342;

Official: OS 7.1.0.342 for BlackBerry Bold 9900 Via Telenor Norway

    Thank you.

I think grimreaper is right. If the above information given by him doesn't do anything with your battery then I guess battery replacement is the key. I have updated with the leaked .342 before but I never encountered such drastic battery drain. I used my Bold 9900 a lot (music, youtube, facebook, ubersocial, yahoo messenger, BBM, SMS, emails and few calls) but I only get the chance to charge it twice a day. I can honestly say that I am a heavy user but certainly satisfied with what the this OS offered me.

Then the Official .342 by Telenor Norway came, it fixed few lags and a much more responsive OS as compared with the leaked OS.

I agreed with ToraxCefiro. I had no issue too. Glad that this leaked version came out. My battery drain situation had improved. Currently i had installed the official version. Very good. No complaint. Love it

Hello tonycher, did you install the leaked OS7.1.0.342 for your BlackBerry Bold 9900, or the official OS7.1.0.342?

Glad to hear your battery situation has improved, but I get the impression you used the leaked OS.

Am I correct to assume this?

In case you're not aware of Official: OS 7.1.0.342 for BlackBerry Bold 9900 Via Telenor Norway

    Thank you.

Grimreaper, I had installed the official os. This is better cos it has solved the lag problem which I and some of us are having when using the leaked version. I will recommend all bold 9900 users to install the official os. It's good!

Hi tonycher, ok that's great, glad to know it.

I've always said that the official OS is better over the leaked, which actually gave me lag.

Other users will experience different issues with every build, regardless if the build is leaked or official.

Since I have installed this official OS7.1.0.342 it's been great for me too

Its good to know that you're enjoying the Official OS. I'm having no issues at all too.. But if in any case you'd encounter any issues along the way, let us know so we can further check on that
