I know the feeling when I installed this on my BlackBerry Bold 9900, Feb. 17, I fell in complete love with this build.

Very stable, everything works great, couldn't ask for anything more.

Since I installed this version I am unable to setup Blackberry Protect, it goes through the initial steps and sticks on "Connecting to BlackBerry Protect service..." with the loading icon, I let it run in the background for over an hour now and nothing. I've rebooted the phone, uninstalled BB protect and reinstalled.. numerous times and nothing. Got another BB 9780 on the same network and it connects to BB Protect fine. Prior to this version I also had no problems with BB Protect.

Anyone know what else I can try?

I think you have not set your blackberry ID. Go to option, device then to blackberry ID. Fill in your particulars. This will notify your network that u have registered. After that, go back to blackberry protect and go thru the process. I think this should help.

Thanks, unfortunately that's not it either. Tried it and also changed my bb I d to check if its a cache issue and still does the same thing

Anyone knows if this build will help me use my ATT BOLD 9900 as a mobile hotspot? I just unlocked it and have an unlimited plan with them please advise?

This build does have mobile hotspot, but if the carrier doesn't support it you will not be able to use.

Have you enabled battery saving mode? Go to, Options... Device... Battery Saving Mode.

Yup. I tried. It was fully charged at 8am. By 230pm, it's down to 30%. I didn't really use much and it was on GPRS mode. I suspect that its the OS problem.

That's actually pretty normal battery life for the 9900. Many people get worse.

Build is awesome!

Mobile hotspot works great, speeds were up to 5MB's in my area which is amazing. Smooth and clean.

Just today. So I cannot comment on the battery life but I have the "battery saving" option set for always on and so far it seems OK.

Mobile hotshot alone makes this worth while. I can see it coming in handy a lot.... Traveling in a car with laptops, would be perfect.

OK, after a few days, update us with a change log (what has changed for better/worse).
