Hey Ishap if you notice, yes the OP has 7.1.0.190, But something is not right here.

Observe, his previous screen, you will notice that in the Manage Connections screen it does not show @Mobile Hotspot at all, plus he's confusing his WiFi as the Mobile Hotspot, even named it @Home

See how BB Bold 9900 has @ Mobile Hotspot, his screen shot does not show it at all, plus his WiFi is named @Home, I think he's confusing himself thinking the WiFi signal should be called @Home? I know it's weird.

No, I'm not confused or anything. My WiFi spot called @Home because it's my WiFi from home. I still don't know why I don't have Mobile Hotspot in my connections screen.

Can you tell me what steps you performed when you upgraded to 7.1.0.190, this way we can pinpoint what went wrong.

You should have @ Mobile Hotspot showing in you BlackBerry Bold 9900.

This leak release, which I has personally installed, is much better, than previous releases.

I deleted the vendor-file, I ran 'App Loader' as admin, I installed the OS that I've downloaded at this site. Think I didn't do anything wrong :S

    Dear friends,
Can u guys confirm that this os 7.1 supports Asian language display & input?
I'm so afraid to upgrade if it doesn't support 'cause all my emails from Asian clients will appear as black blocks only.

I don't know since I haven't opened it. But since it is for GSM 9900 it may support Asian content.

Does anyone else know that has loaded the OS?

I'm not sure if I missed this in the thread, but one of the MAJOR added features on this build vs 7.1.0.74 is BlackBerry Device Analyzer.

I don't get it. I downgraded to 7.1.0.74. At that moment, I had Mobile Hotspot. But now I've installed 7.1.0.190 again and Mobile Hotspot disappeared again :S

I found this on the internet

    In English:
Tethering, mobile data connection to browse on your laptop for example, is currently not allowed at T-Mobile. This applies to the regular phone subscriptions and subscriptions for the special laptop
    .
That could be the problem. But that doesn't explain why I did have Mobile Hotspot with 7.1.0.74. Weird

    Now running official .590
So far so good.. Thus if this 7.1 is fast and supports Asian language, I wouldn't hesitate to update. ☺ τнαήƙ чoυ !

    Thumbs up

This is the best OS for the 9900 that I have tried yet!

    • Very stable
    • Offers Mobile Hotspot (since it's 7.1)
    • Awesome battery life
    • No bugs noted
