There is no issue with this link bukscreamboi, we have discussed this issue last couple of posts.

Please refresh your browser (F5), and clean out your browser's cache.

    Thank you.

Downloading OTA is rather risky when downloading a new OS. How would you be able to delete the prior OS and then install the new OS? I've never tried downloading something as complex as an OS over the air because the data signal is so unreliable.

Hi GrimReaper, like bukscreamboi, changing networks or services are not available options. The only options are Data Services (On/Off) and While Roaming (On/Off/Prompt). Mobile Network: is AT&T and is not changeable; there are no other options.

I identified the battery draining culprit, unfortunately it was Score Mobile. I had to delete it, as I was not able to get through 12-14 hours on a battery charge, now I am back to as much as 2 days on a full charge :-(. I was also having touchscreen anomolies prior to removing Score Mobile, but that seems to have been resolved as well.

For all interested. AT&T, and only AT&T, will not allow manual Network Mode with any version of BB 7.1 OS They don't have that option on any of their other newer phones anymore either. I was at an AT&T store and the Rep said it's because they are phasing out of 2G completely. I know there is probably a workaround somewhere, but I have yet to find it.

I live in the sticks with 2 to 3 bars of Edge on a good day, but this will be interesting for urbanites with a lot of active apps. I wouldn't want to own an iphone that has to be charged 3 times a day

    Hello Thullraven, not sure if you know this, but BlackBerry Torch 9810 users has an Official OS7.1.0.342, which is posted below;

    Downloads: TelenorNorway_9810_7.1.0.342

Depending where you live, and which carrier you use, their BlackBerry devices are limited to different rules, and policies, and this is reflected on carrier's devices.

    Hope this helps.

    Thank you.

Grimreaper. Thanks for the link, but I already have it. Carriers can disable features if they choose to do so , even if the software is released by Blackberry. I have spoken with T-Mobile people that have upgraded to 7.1 and they still have Network Mode enabled. It is strictly AT&T disabling that option. I was told that since my 9810 is unlocked, I could run the update again with a T-Mobile SIM installed and would regain Network Mode, but them the moment I put back in my AT&T SIM, it would be disabled again. Freaking AT&T !!!!! That may be why they never officially released the 7.1 update yet.

I wondered about the FM Radio feature myself. Then I read the small print on the Blackberry site which told me that only the Curtve 9380 upgraded to 7.1 gets the radio.

Sorry for the delay Thullraven, as I have personally spoken to another BBOS Team member regarding this issue, and after some though, I agree with you 100%, it is as a matter of fact, AT&T has disabled this feature for OS7.1 members who have installed this on their BlackBerry OS7 devices.

It was thought if you inserted your AT&T SIM card, and this feature is disable, only to find out by inserting a T-Mobile SIM card, then obviously AT&T has disabled this on their end.

It seems AT&T has disabled it via their infrastructure networks, and it isn't fair to customers of AT&T, so all I can say is contact them and find out why they do this, when other mobile carriers do not, if they cannot supply you with a satisfactory answer, it may be time to switch to another mobile carrier.

    Hope this helps my friend.

    Thank you

    Hello kruel, and welcome to

The BlackBerry Torch 9810 does not come with the FM radio feature, which is only available to BlackBerry Curve 9360 & 9380 owners.

The media share feature, is available to BlackBerry Torch 9810, via the leaked OS7.1.0.402, which I will provide to you below.

    Downloads: 9810_7.1.0.402

    Thank you.

Grimreaper my friend, I've spoken with AT&T.They said they eliminated the network mode option because they are discontinuing their 2G towers in the near future. I noticed all of their newer phones do not have the network mode option either. Just thought you might be curious as to the reason.

Thank you Thullraven for your response, and I sincerely appreciate it.

I can understand why AT&T is getting rid of 2G wireless networks in the near future, to make room for the current 4G (H+), and the enhanced 4G LTE wireless networks, which would also explain the elimination of the Network Mode option.

For example, I currently have the option to choose 2G* 3G/H+* or 3G/H+ & 2G* wireless mode option.

It wouldn't matter even if my mobile carrier got rid of 2G, as most wireless carriers use 3G and 4G (H+) and now 4G LTE in my area now.

    Thank you.
