    Official: BlackBerry Torch 9810 OS 7.0.0.540 from Vodafone Ireland


    Its official OS 7.0.0.540 has been released for the BlackBerry Torch 9810 from Vodafone Ireland. If you have a 9810 get out that USB cord and give your device a fresh new OS. As always be sure to let us know about your findings and fixings.

    Note: The Software Platform and Applications version numbers can be found under Options-About screen on the handheld.

    I love it when us 9810 users get goodies... I'm upgrading to this as we speak... Let's see if its any better than the .4xx versions

    I'm upgrading it also. .474 was a good one already; Let's see if there's any improvements. I'll add a feedback in the next 48hrs.

    Thanks Gumby. BTW, I loved the old gumby and pokey clay animations.

    48hrs later :
    Good and stable version.
    I used it yesterday and mostly today.
    Battery life, browser speed, ..everything seems as good as .474, and I didn't noticed any new problems at least.
    I can't say what it really improves; I didn't noticed any changes. I checked the version installed, and, yeah, it's .540
    I'll recommand it mostly for people who doesn't have at least .474 installed.
    I'll keep .540 on mine and I will update if I find anything new/changed.

    PS @Joe: The funny part is that I really had a real horse named Pokey ;D ..but, no, not the same color.. ^^

    Thanks for the update on the OS.

    That's awesome! Great name for a horse!

    I used to build replicas of Gumby and Pokey out of playdough when I was a kid. Good fun memories.
