Did you remove the vendor.xml file?

Make sure you do not use Desktop Software to try and upgrade to .600, make sure that you remove the vendor.xml file, andgGo through http://www.blackberryos.com/blackber...es-videos.html, it is a very good how-to.

i really do not want to wipe out the phone. then i have to re enter the registration codes for the purchase i made for some programs. i never had a problem before. i am going to look at the tutorial someone suggested above. i did try the apploader though..
thanks for the answers.
PS: if it was an official release i may consider a full wipe :)
I understand completely. I just finished doing some research regarding this leaked .600 OS. You are not the only user that cannot get it to download, I have read several different people's posts elsewhere having the same issues. It sounds like this .600 leak is not up to standards.
I'm suggesting to stop trying to download .600 leaked version and waiting for the "Official" release, unless someone else has been successful. Doesn't seem worth the hassle. ::bbos::
Thanks for the tip..I'll wait...Do you know if OS 7 is going to be available for the Torch?
We current Torch users will NOT be getting the OS7. this is due to hardware issues that we don't have and there is no intention from RIM to allow even an OS7 lite version for us.
I'm waiting for the new Torch with OS7 to be released, and hopefully AT&T will carry them.
