I can't post links yet, but I can notify that the ALL LANGUAGE version of 6.0.0.723 is available from SK Telecom on the official BB website.

If you would like Asian input/display to be included in the firmware you can go ahead and give that version a try. BEWARE the download page is not in english.

I am having problems installing this. I just downgraded to a 9780 from a 9900. I deleted my old OS installed on the pc and installed this, deleted the vendor and went to loader, but it does not find it. Any help?

Please make sure you right click on the loader, and run the program in administrative mode.

If you mean cannot find the phone device, make sure the phone drivers are installed properly. I know this sounds stupid but please check to make sure you have a 9780 and not a 9700, they look exactly the same. I would suggest checking the phone model using the options menus and not the IMEI sticker.

    Hello sh0tta

Make sure to delete all the vendor.xml files.

One of the reasons why the right OS is not showing is because of the vendor.xml file.
It is not only located in one folder, but two. In the past you simply had to delete the lone vendor file and you were well on your way to a clean install with either BlackBerry Desktop Manager or App Loader. Now however, you'll need to dive in a bit more before your PC will see the OS. In order for you to see the other file, follow the below guide.

Only for Windows since you can't update an OS using Mac:

    **Navigate to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Apploader
**From there, remove the vendor.xml file

Next, you have make sure you can view hidden files and folders in Windows Explorer (Tools > Folder Options > View > Show hidden files and folders)

And then, depending on your version of Windows:

**On Windows Vista/7 navigate to C:\Users\YOUR_USER\AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML (Where "YOUR_USER" is your username)

**On Windows XP navigate to C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR_USER\Application Data\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML (Where "YOUR_USER" is your username)

Remove the vendoer.xml file and you are now good to go! So launch your Deskop Manager or App Loader and you should be able to find the new OS and install it on your device..

Let me know if you have any other issues and if this helps.

    Thank you!

I just changed the OS on my 9780 and BBSAK didn't have an option to restore apps and the DM says the back up is corrupted. WTH, oh well, hopefully I can get things back through BB protect.

Hello OriginalLucy, good to see you

I have provided you 2 screen shots of BBSAK latest version 1.9.2 showing you there is an option to back up your applications, and to restore them after you have successfully upgraded/downgraded your device's OS.

Another tool which is available, called BBHTool v2.4.9.7a, is what I use, but it may be advanced for some users.

Please use caution when using third party tools such as these, if not used properly, may cause your BlackBerry device to not function normally afterward.

Anytime OriginalLucy, it's my pleasure to assist you.

When a BlackBerry user has an issue with any third party tool (such as my fave BBHTool v2.4.9.7a), I always suggest they have the latest version installed as it usually has several fixes, and other added features.

Also, I always highly suggest to everyone to backup their BlackBerry device, using either BlackBerry Desktop Manager for PC v7.1.0.32 (which is the latest as of July 23, 2012).

If you need any other assistance, please reply back anytime.

    Thank you.
