The previous build only had 5 or 6 languages. This build got all the languages you know from the 9700 BB OS.

Im from Holland, and i double checked the previous OS build for the language dutch, which wasnt included.

    Now it is!

Now in order to strip out the junk and make the MB lower significally.. What exactly would I do? I now have the time to do so, but when I tried slimming it prior, it did not remove MB and actually increased it. [I know I did something wrong. lol] So any links to a proper tutorial or any quick info here, more than appreciated.

Well firstly this will not make your device noticably faster, it did on older models but on 9780 it isn't really needed. I just do it for errrr geeky reasons.
First download OTA www.berrycoder/maxmem.jad. This little app when you use it, takes out VAD and themes and other items just follow instructions and reboot when you have finished all the selections as instructed. It will after every operation ask if you want to reboot, select reboot later then do it at the end (saves time). You will find it will give another 5-8MB. Wanna go further ok connect device to BSAK and select menu where you can remove Cods etc. Then select read system, it will show you all the cod files on your device you can delete medialoader files without causing harm, preloaded wallpapers are there as Backgrounds. Some deletion of cods will cause the device to reboot. Do not delete the Cod Blackberry 6 theme it is the default theme. You can take out certain functions Help, memo,Tasks but I don't bother as long as you just. Take out medialoader files medialoader toolkit also, that's all quite safe. Remember back up apps and data first just in case! If you did screw it up just reload OS. But if you just play with the. Medialoader files all should be well. As I said you will massively increase your app memory by about 40MB but it won't operate noticablely any faster. When you finish battery pull and your finished
    Hope this is helpful

Well I know it wont make it noticeably faster, but wanting my device to not be performing at its peak with the memory at all times, is definitely a must. Plus at 212 MB, it is a major difference to a 140 MB load, so although not "noticeable", it will give some sort of gain. Definitely going to be doing this again, matter of fact, right now. :] Thank you again for the response.

And if you are with Verizon it's amazing how much crap they download onto a device. They should have one Verizon app that can launch the rest of them web based through the internet.

Agreed, just finishing loading my OS now without editing anything, 275 MB load read from QuickPull. Rather ridiculous to say the least. That is also without all of my beta applications installed, 18 apps uninstalled currently 3 installed to be exact. So that is easily the most ridiculous first boot MB load I have seen so far on my device.

    285 -_-

Another way to gain about 4-5MB is by downloading ringtones to your media card, this is normally via a zip file. You can use file scout to extract them all, then delete Ringtones Cod file from OS. That's what I do, memopad can be replaced by BB notepad which again stores your memos on the Media card.

Another issue encountered, I cannot get BB messenger 6.0.0.56 working here, does not even run for me. Installed perfectly fine, showcased in my applications, would not run. I installed BBM 6.0.0.30, tried using my 5.0 beta key [which used to work and did not on my past OS] and failed. It kept telling me field full.

I currently have beta 5.0.3.13 installed, but I loved my 6.0 look and feel. Other than that, everything is currently working fine, even though due to my lack of sense after being up for 3 days straight, I did not do a current backup and lost a months worth of emails / BBM contacts / MMS / SMS. -_-

I will be trying to use BBSak and MAXMEM later on today, I will be sure to do my backup this time. LoL
