I'm running 6.0.0.526 & using BBM 6.0.0.56 :)
Follow these steps:
1. Make sure you have a Stock BBM (5.0.1.49 seems to work well) **Don't Delete It**
2. Install BlackBerry ID app (http://www.bbh-plus.net/downloads.php?do=file&id=2044)
3. Install BBM 6.0.0.56 (http://bb-h.me/bbm60056)
I will try those steps, but I did have a stock BBM when I first installed 526 I would imagine. Will make the attempt when I get home in around 20 or so mins.
Yeah. 5.0.1.49 is pre-loaded on 6.0.0.526
Just follow the above steps & install BBM 6.0.0.56 over 5.0.1.49
Just finished following the steps, I had BB ID installed already, so I just reinstalled 5.0.1.49 and then downloaded 6.0.0.56 right over it, boom perfection. Ty very much and did not even need to input my keycode again. :D
Definitely has a better look than my previous BBM installs, also the chat color is different which makes it more appealing. I sent a couple of images of that to a couple people on my BBM contact list, they were shocked and pissed at me since they are all stock. [Got to love Screen Muncher] Muahahah :D
I maintained the water mark even after paying just because I really do not care and I find the face to be hilarious. But, when it comes to screen shots of important things such as emails, sms, FB posts, memos, etc. I definitely remove the watermark. I do not need them to know what or where it came from or how it was done. lol
A very nice looking application, might have to give that a shot as well. ;D Ty for the recommendation.
Here it is in our App Store... ZonaSnap - Multipurpose Screen Capture on BlackBerryOS App Superstore
Looks nice, same price as ScreenMuncher as well.
Treid all these methods, BBM 6..56 still won't run, might be a region issue.
Alan.
I have a 9780 and also seeing as I can now get BB newsfeeds (couldn't at first) likewise BB protect, leads me to believe this is a regional/carrier issue? When I tried to click on BBM nothing happened not functioning at all, Battery pulls everything could not run it. So I guess I will wait and see.
