I am not a huge fan of doing OS reloads every week, but I'm too much of a techno-geek to ignore the updates

I totally agree, but this has gotta be done (and I will do it) but we all know its just a version with a few bugs fixed proberbly. But again its gotta happen!

PS - downloading now. I am on .461 - which i noticed didn't let use the wireless song sync and i use that feature quite a bit. if this leak doesn't let me use it i'm downgrading to .448 and waiting until a new official comes out. Someone help me out with my above post lol. Otherwise ill report back in a few days with my findings

There are programmes that allow you to use windows software on macs, see the section on the forum for Macs. I use BBSAK for third party app back up and wiping, Cod removal. I also use maxmem OTA direct to device for all the junk you don't usually use removal. And loading OS, ShrinkAOS, data backup/restore DM5.

Just loaded .480 Java folder raided now sitting at 155MB. BBM6 running good, diagnostics run all AOK.

Finally decided to dive into it, shrunk it a little bit, memory usage at its peek was 255 on 448. [Never shrunk the OS.] Did a few reboots to primarily see if my apps were there, seems to be working fine. Do not know how to fully shrink the OS, but once I do get the hang of it I will probably see an even better boost. So far, so good though.

Love it! That's what seperates BB from all the other platforms

Since Windows is favored by RIM and BlackBerry programs in general, the best way to use your Mac for BlackBerry programs is to utilize the ability to install Windows 7 OS on your Mac. There is a program that works great and you will be able to install Windows on your Mac and won't every have to worry about compatibility again. Just downloaded OS5 ringtones/alerts to SD card removed memo/ Task manager/ and device ringtones cods OS .480 now at 147MB using ringtones/alerts on SD Card. All running OK
