Currently running this version. First thing I noticed was the browser tile tabs, secondly the battery percentage now goes under the WiFi information. A little on the inconvenient side, as now I have to scroll instead of just look.
Have not experienced any major downside, bugs, or issues with applications. Seems more responsive as well, so that seems to be a plus.

I am trying to find any major differences, but since I have been using a theme since I got this phone, I did not transition back yet. I will see further once I get back to the stock theme.
Other than that, nothing negative as of yet. Sort of shocked, never had an OS without its quirks, but we shall see the performance over a 24 - 48 hour period.
A little nuissance noted with the BBM. In regular text messaging you can see the little blue marker on what text you wish to highlight etc. In the BBM, this is not the case and the only thing that showed is how long ago or what time that text was sent. But no little blue marker in the BBM messaging.
This makes me lost, as I do not even know what I would need to highlight. :P

I'm waiting to see if there are any differences between the Official and Beta, before I change from the Beta version. Past experience for me was as mentioned above, they are identical. The OS on my BB has settled in nicely.

Contemplating rolling back to the previous version [stock]. Went to make a caall today, phone would not to go speakerphone, also could not see where my blue marker is to highlight BBM messages, add to that some minimal but noticeable browser lag. [I'm on WiFi.] Also, when I went to raise the volume in call, did not show my volume indicator. Which is a must for me.

On my Beta version all these functions work.
Thanks for the update
Alan
If thats the case might have to give the beta 448 a run then.. I did not try the beta before the official, guess sometimes the beta truly are better.
What I would do is back up all. Data and Third party Apps, wipe the Device. Then load the Beta, when its loaded do a couple of Battery pulls. After that give the BB a security wipe. Then load Apps and Data, seems a bit long winded. But that's what I did following the instructions on this Forum (How to guides) and it works for me. The idea behind the Battery pulls is to throughly settle the OS and the security wipe to remove any traces of former data etc. I suppose it gives it a 'clean' start. Hope this is useful

Well I do that in the first place, its not my first BB that I had encountered some OS issues with, I had the BB tour as well and settled that one on the latest 1041. But I definitely appreciate a refresh of sorts on the steps, so I will do a few battery pulls back on 285, possibly going to 448 beta soon.
**Update** I am currently running the beta, albeit the browser seems a little smoother, encountered a major issue last night. Phone froze on me while sending a picture. It stayed on one screen [the one with the image frozen], then it unfroze and went to the main screen in which I could navigate the menus. But I could not even click on my text messages, emails, or BBM. It literally would do nothing if I press the button for it to go there. I used quickpull, received an error 603, rebooted the phone after and now it is fine for the time being.
With this serious of issues, I might have to revert back to 285, seeing as I could still highlight BBM messages which I can do now, but in 285 I could see the blue marker. Still on the beta, I cannot.
