I don't post on here often but feel I should start as I have had several Blackberry's and am always checking with you guys on which OS is right and what the ups and downs are. Saying that I feel better posting my two cents since you guys are constantly giving yours and helping me out. .586 and .593 in my opinion as an everyday user and minor tinker drains the battery much much faster than .566. I have had my issues with all none more than the original that came preloaded with my T-Mobile Bold. I am reverting back to .566 for now as in my opinion it is the best fit for me. I get more than a days worth of battery and most of the apps I use never have any problems.

Just reporting that battery life is not so good......

My battery life has been pretty solid. Getting 1.4%/hour discharge rate when idle and around 4-5%/hour with moderate to heavy use.

If nothing else, this is a total deal killer for me.
When I get voicemails, I let them play at my desk as I take notes of names, numbers and follow-up details. With .593, I had to hold my 9700 at my ear and listen through the handset to take notes rather than allow the speaker to play on my desk as I comfortably take notes with other OS releases.
I had other issues with .593 but none that annoyed me as much as this speaker phone problem.
Caveat emptor .593.
Speakerphone Issue - VVM
I know what you mean about VVM Speakerphone not working. You're probably referring to the button not working to activate speakerphone? However, though a bit inconvenient, you can always access it by going menu and activate speakerphone and it works just fine.
Other than that, I find that it is quite a stable build. I'm not sure if its my phone hardware or software that is causing me to get dropped calls or drop in signal strength (I say dramatic) in areas I've always had great with my Bold 9000.
Anyone else experiencing this? Or shall I think about warranty exchange...=)
