I reported a few issues I had with .593 but the biggest deal killer for me on .593 is that the speaker phone will not work with Visual Voicemail on this OS.
If nothing else, this is a total deal killer for me.
When I get voicemails, I let them play at my desk as I take notes of names, numbers and follow-up details. With .593, I had to hold my 9700 at my ear and listen through the handset to take notes rather than allow the speaker to play on my desk as I comfortably take notes with other OS releases.
I had other issues with .593 but none that annoyed me as much as this speaker phone problem.
Caveat emptor .593.
I know what you mean about VVM Speakerphone not working. You're probably referring to the button not working to activate speakerphone? However, though a bit inconvenient, you can always access it by going menu and activate speakerphone and it works just fine.
Other than that, I find that it is quite a stable build. I'm not sure if its my phone hardware or software that is causing me to get dropped calls or drop in signal strength (I say dramatic) in areas I've always had great with my Bold 9000.
Anyone else experiencing this? Or shall I think about warranty exchange...=)
In short, the 593 build is essentially 586 with FAR WORSE battery life (there's a difference of about 6 hours for me in 3G covered areas) and slightly faster boot time. Not sure why the leaked version's boot time was quite slow, though - I also noticed that the reception quality of 545 official vs 545 beta was different.
I use bold 9700 and already upgrade to os 5.0.0.593. After that, came several times following message: Uncaught exception: Application net_Rim_bb_profiles_alertengines_app (550) is not responding, process terminated
What should I do?
