Seems like there's no vast difference compared to Vodafone's 545 build. All my apps are running just as smooth.
I just came from 442 b/c of the speaker & vol button issues w/ 536 & 545. Those issues are now resolved. I've found no issues or bugs w/ this build. HTML loads fast in email like 536 & 545. The one thing that stood out for me is Viigo images load faster than I've ever seen. Can't really say anything more b/c I only had 536 & 545 for a short while so a lot is probably the same. Still too early to comment on battery life.
Any east asian version of this OS build...?
i'm gonna load this on my buddy's bb
For me there are two bugs with this build.
1. There's a stuck "1 new email" icon that won't disappear no matter what I do.
2. Opening image thumbnails on my memory card takes forever, and some thumbnails refuse to display correctly. Since I need to send and receive a lot of images with BBM/email for my job, it gets frustrating.
Everything else seems just fine, in fact the OS is very stable memory-wise, even better than the official 442 build.
For those who need to add CJK east asian font support for this OS build..
CJK files from OS 9700 v5.0.0.545:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=CT4HM301
Copy the COD files to: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\(Your OS)\Java
and copy the alx file to: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\(Your OS)\
When you run apploader, you should be able to choose the east asian language support for the install.
I tried this on the v5.0.0.566 and the Chinese Pinyin input works...
Problem solved; I didn't use your method but I deleted my email accounts one by one via the email settings app and then restarted. Turns out one of my Gmail accounts is causing the problem, it is a failure in the messages restoration process after loading an OS which causes this. After all that I simply re-added my email accounts and bang! Stuck icon's gone.
