tried twice and works just fine for me...
BlackBerry by Choice!
Is this the newest version out (leaked or otherwise)?
this is a nice xmas for us all there! .421 is feeling old, although i thought it was pretty solid. Does anyone know of any differences between the two?
Hi all, first post here..
Hard to say whats new but .423 feels faster than the last official i was using (.344)
also this is new from my last release:
Also, I love that its my carrier that is releasing the latest officials. A nice change of pace for once.

Downloading now, will report back on ATT.
cool let us know how it works with AT&T
Im on att and its been running pretty smoothly for me. My data rates are faster than on previous oses.
Seems to run about the same as 421 but little bit slower to boot up, hangs towards the end.
well battery life is at least doubled. Same use as yesterday, and now i'm at 90% remaining, yesterday i was at about 40% when i went to bed right about 11pm. I've made about 5 5min phone calls, browsed appworld and the web a little bit. Lots of BBM. I'm in an area with little to no signal, bouncing in and out of EDGE, wifi/BT on. Signal strength seems to be a bit improved, but that could partially be the clearer weather we had today. It still bounced out of service, but it has 2 bars when it's in service rather than the 1 from yesterday
Been running it since release on T-Mo... everything slick as snot. Confirmed better battery, smoother use in general - - - - - one MAJOR issue on my end though:
Since updating to .423 I can no longer click on links in my browser using the trackpad... I have to hover the mouse icon over it and click the 'enter' key. Any one else having this issue?
Otherwise this release seem quite solid.
I have been using this OS for 2 days. Nothing to complain. The best 9700 OS to date. I encourage to all 9700 users upgrade to this one.
ATTN BlackBerry Bold 9700 Users: All OS Code Not Created Equally...
New BlackBerry Bold 9700 owners should be particularly cautious about installing new operating-system code on their smartphones. That's true whether the OS was released "officially" by a wireless carrier other than your own--or leaked via unofficial channels.
RIM PR on the subject:
"The two versions of the Bold 9700 are identical other than the band support you mentioned. Because of this difference, the AT&T and TMO devices do use different versions of the BlackBerry OS - an OS created for one carrier's device may not run well on the other."What are they complaining about? Acc. to you all, it's working fine, isn't it?!
My ATT Uverse residential gateway doesn't want to hold a wifi connection to my 9700. It worked fine before i switched to it from using the Linksys WRT54G running DD-WRT previously.
Wondering how many others if any are having an issue with "call failed". After upgrading from stock 9700 OS to the .423 version I pretty regularly have a problem where I will be in the middle of a call (not dependant on service strength) and all of a sudden the call drops and I get a message on the screen - " Call Failed ".
Any fix for this?
I'm on ATT in USA
You did a full wipe prior to installing the new OS? Just to make sure...
