The way data is stored changes with this version, you cannot go back to a previous version of BBM without losing your data.
The fact that I lose my texts after a reboot may be linked to the fact that some of my messages were not in 7bit, but all I know is that it's impossible to keep them after having installed that version. A reboot corrupts the conversation DB.
I think this is something only you are experiencing. I haven't really had any issues with this OS other than the custom background glitch with the new way RIM is playing around with handling themes in Options. When I set a custom background it only applies to the homescreen and when you go to the applications screen you have a blank white background. You can fix this by resetting the themes default wallpaper under themes but as soon as you reboot the white background appears again and you have to do what I just mentioned again.
Thanks for thinking I'm being so unique , but I disagree. The storage format changed and in some cases, this new BBM can mess up the DB. Could be because my DB contained errors or because I wasn't using the 7bit format. Nevertheless, it should not get corrupted in the upgrade. The only solution is to save all the messages and to start from scratch...I think this is something only you are experiencing
BBM5 is not ready, we all know that, given all the problems that plagued the previous versions (backup/restore didn't work, file transfer didn't work, etc.), but it's almost there , they just need to make the conversion process flawless.
hey folks.. can someone check this for me with the 415 OS on the 9700? when you go to your camera (with geotagging enabled under options), do you see a RED or GREY icon in the lower right corner?
RED = no GPS info
GREY = Picture taken will include GPS coordinates (geotagged)
