100% this is definitely related to phone numbers having hyphens within them.
In the meantime, (while we wait for a new leak), if you use the format:
+1NPANXX#### (ie. +19995550000) things will work fine.
Obviously not feasible to change on huge addressbooks but...

I have the same exact problem, besides that .351 is flawless. Great batt life too.

Thats right folks, if you were holding out for an official OS, then your wait is over as OS 18.104.22.1681 has been officially released by Rogers.
You can download OS 22.214.171.1241 From the Rogers Website

Don't install this, the prior release is FAR better because of the Address Book + number matching problem with 351.

TELUS' Bold 9700 released with .344. I have several complaints...the main having to do with the text msg threads not showing up with the contact's address book info.
There seems to be mixed responses on whether this issue has been resolved. Please comment.
Do you all know there is an option to show sms names, it can be on or off. Have you all tried toggling that to see if it helps with this so called "sms address book" problem?

does this .351 release improve the performance of the handset in anyway?
also to the SMS issue, i have all my numbers stored without any xxx-xxx or xxxxx-xxxxxxx etc in them so i dont think that would be an issue for me.
im pretty tempted to have a crack at this..
I tried to upgrade to this OS last night but was unable to after 2hrs of attempting.
I installed the OS on my laptop, backed-up my data, tried to load it through AppLoader (with and without a clean wipe) and I continually received the msg that there are no updates for my device.
I tried update both with the Vendor.xml both included and deleted...and still no go.
I rebooted my device and laptop several times as well -- No Luck!
Can anyone help?
You must be 100% sure that when you go into Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs (Programs.... for Vista/Win7) and look at the Blackberry device software installed that the ONLY device software installed is the version you are trying to put on your device. If you have multiple installations of device software on your PC you will run into this problem.
