    Leaked OS 6.0.0.466 for the BlackBerry Bold 9650

    If you've been patiently awaiting a new update of the OS for your Verizon/Sprint Bold 9650, you're in luck today. Although this is only a slight jump from the previous leak of 6.0.0.431, it certainly brings a few bug fixes.

    Warning: Please remember that this IS NOT an official release OS. If you wish to install this OS keep in mind that this may cause your phone to not function correctly. BlackberryOS and any other BlackberryOS Official sites are not responsible. If you are not comfortable and/or unsure as how to upgrade to this OS, please click the link below.

    downloaded it today;
    pro: very fast for a BB OS
    not much lag, way better than the .133 or any of the 5.0
    went on without a hitch
    Trackpad sensitivity much faster even after it change the sensitivity to 70%
    cons: my calendar and my PocketInformant dates are all screwed up
    my Bask up Assistant duplicated about 50 contacts

    all in all I like it a lot. I did this because my official 6.0 from Verizon was freezing all the time especially the browser. So I figurred that I had nothing to lose....so far it has been great. No complaints once I get my calendars squared away

    Thanks for the feedback. Nice to see that it's working better for you. I know how you feel with an official OS not delivering on how it should.

    after one week I went back to .443....here's a follow up to my previous post where everything using .446 was going good basically because it was so much faster than the official OS
    1. once re-booted it was very fast to run especially the browser, however my re-boot time went from 3:45 to 5:45
    2. my browser freeze stopped... however I would get dropped from the internet if I had an operation of more than 3-4 steps and I would have to battery pull often...usually 4-6 times a day. I would get that notice "you aren't connected to the internet" alot
    3. I would lose at least one app everyday....sometimes 3 or 4 just disappeared daily
    4. the calendar issue never straightened out and every time I rebooted which was often my calendar showed different events or multiple events
    5.Battery life was worse with this OS than nay other I ever had

    ......last night I switched back to .443

    That boot time would just kill me. That's one thing I wish was better for the BB, the boot time. Thanks for reporting to the forum.
