Thread: VZW Will Be Releasing 4.7.1.61

My contact just told me that an email was sent out about an MR2 update on the Tour and that update will be 4.7 OS in a couple of weeks... It just mind boggles me that VZW would still release 4.7 OS when 5.0 is clearly better. Maybe not any of the leaks that we have seen for it but I am sure their is a build that will be leaked soon that works amazing on it.

EDIT: I meant to say MR1 update

Thanks for the update! I know three carriers just released this as their official OS, but I really haven't heard any feedback on it.

I am trying very difficult to stay positive about this. Between the broken ribs and pain medication it's hard too. I don't understand either. I have heard "rigorous" testing measures are taken by Verizon (over and above other carriers) but why issue another 4.7 update. Contract obligations? Is the 5.0 release for the Tour that buggy? If so, how is the official release for the Storm good enough to be out?

No Problem Bryan. I don't really understand it either. Their has to be a better 5.0 OS then .273. As far as the Storm 5.0 OS I tend to think it is pretty solid other then the Theme issue that it has. My girl has the storm and since .323 her phone has been very quick. The tour on the other hand has had lots of problems with .273 and .230 for that matter.

VZW will not be releasing another 4.7 for the tour there was supposed to be a 5.0 upgrade the same say as the storm 1 got it. What happened? who the heck knows...

Now see when I was running .230 I had not one single issue with it. It was by far the best OS I had used on BB to date. Never rebooted, froze, glitched on me at all.

See for me whenever i would miss a call and i would try 2 call that person back i would get a call already in process error and i couldnt call out until sumone else called me it was a weird issue. And .273 was even worse 4 me it would reboot constantly

even thought 4.7 is official i would never go back to regular SMS

I think 230 is the smoothest running so far.

yep couldn't agree more on .230 It was the smoothest running OS on my Tour, never had an issue. The bugs that were present never affected how I used the phone.
