Thread: 5.0.0.273 media and theme files!

For those of you who want the new look with .273, not not all the bugs that it contains I would suggest giving this a try. I took 2 of the files from the .273 and inserted them into my java folder and overwrote the old files. I now have the new media folder as well as the new sms/mms alert icon.

The biggest change I have noticed is with the new media player, it is much faster and the outline of the pictures as well as text selection is in another color.

If anyone has any questions feel free to ask and hopefully I can help you out.

Hmmmm this could be a solution to our issues with the Bold 5.0.0.238 crap media player and the 5.0.0.296 media player .cod's not working with .238 or the latest 4.6 media .cod's not working with .238 ....MAYBE, just MAYBE we can try/use these ....

These will work with the bold...I am actually playing around with the new storm .323 files now to see how those are. Rumor has it that those fix the media mute bug.

how do i install the theme ? any screen shots around ?

You don't have to install any theme, just copy that file into your java folder and then load up apploader and it should only take a few minutes to copy everything over.

Nice! yeah if you swap a few of the media .cod's out from Bold .238 and replace with .296 it fixes the media mute bug on changing to the next song ....but if you replace all of the media files with .296 none of the media will function. Thats crappy because the .238 music player is horrible and I want to fix the problem with the MEGA lag when your playing a playlist and you click menu>show songs ....when you try to navigate through your songs to play one of you choice its CRAZY LAGGY....hoping the Tour .273 or the new Storm .323 files can be used in some fashion to fix this.

The directory you need to copy those 2 files into is here: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\9630AMEA_v5.0.0.230_P4.2.0.61\Java


Once you have done that launch apploader, which you can find here:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader

i installed these files to my tour, the media player still stops sending audio through bluetooth after the first song (yet it continues to play the next song, if i hit pause/play it's fine for the rest of the time i use it)

and my SMS icon no longer shows up on the home screen with the default sprint precision theme

Did you do a battery pull after you loaded these files?

Switch over to the other theme. The file I posted is the default precision theme, but not the one from your carrier. Try that and let us know what happens.

This doesn't fix the second mute song bug yet, I am working on finding a file that will solve this.

I tried media loader file and its great but my video camera icon is gone. trying a battery pull.

You should still have this, check to make sure it wasn't moved to another location or that it isn't hidden.

I made a mistake of removing cod file. lolllllll newbeee .Yes i retrived it with medialoader file 9630. its really good thanks buddy

yeah i changed it to the stock Zen theme and all is well

Any available links that are not dead. both rapid share links show errors.

yea need new links i need to redo my berry and i wanted these 2 files
