GPS on Google Maps FINALLY works on Sprint OS 4.7.1.57!

About damn time. My radio also works A LOT better.

So my question is, was it the actual OS/Software that fixed this issue?...or did the new OS do some kind of firmware/ROM-level update on the hardware to fix this issue?

The reason I ask this, is if I went to another OS (5.0.x.x, etc), will my radio and GPS revert back to a state where they no longer work properly as before?

correct it is in the os package so if it didnt work on 5.0 before chances are it still wont

Does this mean that us Sprint/Tour users will be bound to this OS in order to have a working Google Maps GPS and radio, and not have the ability to upgrade to any other OS (unless it was made to work to fix these issues)?:confused:
