So I have my blackberry wiped and I'm trying to upgrade to .53 but whenever I open loader it says there is no software for the phone that is plugged in. I've deleted the vendor.xml. I have no clue what to do.

Sorry it sounded similar to a problem I was having with XP.Sorry.It had something to do with the attempted network connection.

Nope.
I can't update at all I can't even put an OS on my blackberry right now it keeps saying this device is not supported with the software installed.

you probably got the wrong version, lets make sure of that what, your got a blackberry tour and have downloaded 4.7.1.53 for 9630, deleted the vendor.xml file wright?

Run as admin fixed the problem... WTF never had to do that before.
