18.104.22.168 -- frick.. lost enhanced Gmail Plugin -- Cannot download OTA
Managed to remove my enhanced Gmail plugin. I'm running 22.214.171.124. blackberry.com/gmail won't let me download. Are there OTA files available on this site or elsewhere?
If you run Desktop Manager and go into Application Loader and click on Update Software (making sure 126.96.36.199 is the only OS installed on the PC) it MIGHT detect it, since it is included with the OS. It will usually detect missing files that it previously installed.
Edit: If that doesn't work, exit DM and keep the BB plugged in. Go to the following URL (on your PC):
and click on download. Pick your language on the following page and click on Next. Internet Explorer should ask you if it is okay to run an ActiveX control for loading ALX files (AxLoader Module). Allow it to. It should connect to the device over USB and load the .COD; I don't guarantee it will work but it is worth a shot.

Did the same thing as OP. Instructions above didn't work for me.
Webpage reads "No BlackBerry Device Found" -- but I am connected w/ DM running.
I'm not sure then. I will run this by the rest of the help team and see what we can come up with.
You might be able to use BBSAK to install the COD's directly.

C>programfiles>commonfiles>RIM>apploader>make sure there is no vendor.xml>apploader.exe
when you go through make sure you have the pluging checked, you shouldnt need to do anything else but click next.. it should load only that app
Wirelessly posted (9000 OS 184.108.40.206)
Try the following link from your bb breowser

Sweet.. thanks for the OTA. I also found the COD on my PC from an old backup. I'm rebooting now and I expect the DM App Loader to restore my Enhanced Gmail Plugin.
Another way to get it to install is to edit the net_rim_bb_gmail.alx file. Change the <fileset Java="1.38"> line to read <fileset Java="1.00"> or just remove Java="1.38" completely. Locations below:
C:\Program Files\common files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\model_version
C:\Program Files (x86)\common files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\model_version
This worked on my Bold, but did not on my Curve 8330. Replaced with a Tour and haven't tried it yet. Still downloading.
