Opera Mini 5 doesnt work on my tour....Anyone on telus running it?

every thing workin fine but i really need goole talk and aim 2 work any help out there

Look for OTA links on the front page for Beta software (Google Talk, Yahoo, MSN, etc.) that work in 5.0

i am having trouble loading the os to my tour. it gets to connecting to rom and then stops at the RAM image and freezes. anyone can help???

0mie found a fix ota download for google talk and aim is at 0mietech.com

google maps is working for you on a sprint tour?

I dont understand how people are getting Pandora to work with 5.0 cause I can only get almost a whole song before it just pauses itself. I cant wait for Facebook and Pandora to catch up to the leaks.

Now, while everyone is enjoying the benefits of the new OS and we have something to mess around with over the weekend, let me add a BONUS to it...

Can anyone say 5.0.0.236 !!!!

Looks like we may be seeing a leak of it right around the corner.

While I got a chance to look over the 5.0.0.230, and see the new improvements, I couldn't wait to get back to you and tell you what you're in for in 5.0.0.236.

FLICK SCROLLING?!?!?!? Nah, We got Trackballs!!! LOL

But in reality 5.0.0.236 is gonna blow away 5.0.0.230!!! The improvements are HUGE!

The Blackberry Tour hardware is a very well built device and the pre-installed firmware very supportive of it's natue and demands that indivisuals are looking for. However with the implementation of the new leak of 5.0.0.230 in comparison to it's predicessor of 4.X there are alot of new features and improvisions that have taken place.

Now with even a better leak (Woops, did I say LEAK again?) of 5.0.0.236 just around the corner, we have to wonder just how close are we to actually seeing the GOLD CODE that we all have been waiting for.

Well let me say this. I have compared the 4.x to Hybrids to 5.0.0.230 to more hybrids to 5.0.0.236 and well, there is just no comparison, when you get to 5.0.0.236.

Still have to admit that I am still suprosed that 5.0.0.236 doesn't implement the "Tabbed Browsing" that we are all hoping for, but the speed of launch of the web browser is much more efficient than any other prior leaks that I have seen. :Eyecrazy: :Eyecrazy:

Shouldn't be long now (Hint, Hint) and we should be seeing .236 in the forums here at

Nice seeing you again Perfect, and very kind of you to bring good news. The Tour was a great launch because out of the box the OS was very solid. The improvement we have seen with .230 are pretty amazing. The phone just seems lightning quick and couldn't be happier with web browser as is. Battery life is much improved and memory leak, is lol, who cares about memory. Thanks again my friend and I'm sure .236 will be a good one.

I dont see the media player either. It seems that they took that icon, and separated each function to it's own icon. Music, pix, and ringtones. Pretty cool.

Mule are you running the stock theme or no? usually there is a media icon on the stock theme but when you click it, its like opening a folder with all the icons in it.

any ideas yet why i am seeing the 3G instead of the 1XEV.

I've heard mention of possible bluetooth problems with this build. Can anybody verify if BT is (or is not) working? That's a make-or-break for me. Thanks in advance!

Well Buzz...That is the true clasification of the Network now.

It has been said that 1XEV is yesterdays news so to speak.

Last nite I downloaded/ installed .230 I was trying it out today and when I did a wireless sync to my comp (to see if bt sync worked), it installed duplicate entries of all my appts into my calendar on my device. When I go into options, I now see a 'second calendar' called 'default' which is a duplicate of my original calendar named the same as my e-mail acct (only calendar shown before upgrade in os). Is there a way to delete all the duplicates? I did do a backup using dm before the upgrade, is there a way to just restore my old calendar? I'm still somewhat new to bb and learning my way, so if you have any ideas, please explain in 'newbie' language---any help would be appreciated.

Please disregard, I ventured into advanced settings and was able to restore database from before upgrade....
