Thread: 4.7.1.42 on ATT network/ EDGE/edge issues fixed?

If anyone has tried yet, pleeeeease let me know. I've been fighting with my Tour trying to keep a solid EDGE connection on ATT and am unable to. I know the Storm has leaks that helped tremendously, I'm hoping this leak for the Tour will help it. If any of you have luck with it please post or PM me. Thanks guys!!

I would recommend turning your radio off, then back on. Also, find out from ATT if they have a way to update phone for new towers. If that still fails, it may be related to the area you are in. In that case, you may want to try the .42 that leaked today or 5.0.0.191. I have only heard positive feedback from 5.0 radio. Keep us posted and let's see if people have other and better suggestions for you.

Thanks for the input. I'm not certain if it is a signal issue because I've done much reading and seen others have experienced the same.

Well..don't want to speak too soon but so far so good. For some reason one of my apps will not connect to the internet but everything else is working and my EDGE is holding. I'll keep testing and let you all know.

Well...looks to be working well. After some extensive testing, it looks like some 3rd party apps connect to data even when it says edge is small letters. I'm assuming edge is a limited type of WAP internet and EDGE is the full internet/blackberry network. Well it has been working ok. I will do a full test tomorrow and update everyone.
