There might be but honestly I wouldn't trust it.
A clean os install without internal tools is the only way to know for sure

Has anyone tried the media player in this new OS? The .40 gets crapped up when email or sms come in unless your have alrts off. Mostly in longer tracks like podcasts..
Or just install the .42 OS without out the tools over the one he/she currently has on their device.
Thats what i did because i forgot to remove the tools. ALSO, make sure to check "EXPLORE" through your memory card because there will be a hidden log on it due to accidently installing the RIM tools.
^ Yeah, i accidentally found that out while trying to delete some files already on my memory card. To my surprise when i opened it, it mentioned something about "quincy" which is one of the tools that RIM uses to report back any issues.
The link for the download from BBOS files is down, and the megaupload link has a corrupt file. Before I go through the hassle, is this .42 worth it, or dhould I just use .191. And before I load .191, does google talk work?

Mule if you can run .191 without any issues go that route. 5.0 just looks cool.
I'm on .42 not by choice as .191 will not work with my carrier.
Imo .42 is better then .40. There is not a whole lot of difference over all but it is faster and less lag/freezing when new messages come in.

I will try this on my tour as well, as soon as i find a working copy :P. I do get the trackball lag/freezing up every now and then though but i guess that's an issue with the hardware and not software?
