Signal seems better with this build too. With .40, I got maybe 1-2 bars in my basement and now I get 4. Solid build for sure.

I just installed it. And it still reads that I'm on .40. Is that supposed to happen?

I tried add this software all day and its still not happening. i did everything i can think off this is the first OS i had trouble with :17:.

Can someone please lend a hand in helping me with this software please.

Control panel add/remove on your PC. You will see internal tools listed just delete from there.

Anybody have luck putting BBM 5 on this? I can't get it to work....

Also, I only have access to a WAP browser now.....Telus is my SP...

I can't say as I am still running BBM 5. One of the guys on the BBOS staff has Telus I will see if he can help you with your browser.

For your telus questions I have a couple suggestions;

do a handheld wipe and when you do a backup do an advance back up but delete the old service books. fire up your device and resend your HRT and service books from the email set up wizard in your setup folder.

Thats a common problem with .191 i have no problems with .42.

I've been fighting this battle since 5.0.0.140 for the storm.

Let me know if that works I can offer a few more suggestions if you wanna be a guinea pig...lol

Is anyone else noticing a drop to a 1X connection? I keep losing EVDO. Anyone? Beuller? Beuller?

nope....my network coverage is actually better....

Typically I am around -100 in my house...

I havent seen worse than -85 yet

Thanks for the response. I'm hoping it's a network issue and not the OS. It was perfect earlier. Now, every time I "wake" the phone it's in 1X. After several minutes of using the Browser (trying to anyway) and UberTwitter I get back 1XEV. But also I've notice 1xev way too many times today. Maybe they are playing with the towers lol...

have you tried doing *22899 and registering your host routing table, and sending service books

No I haven't. According to VZW if I do the *228 update it will wipe the PRL update they have pushed to our phones. Our coverage sucks at home without it. We can't even make a call.

Will this *22899 do that? And I don't know how to send service books. I can register the routing table. Are they the same?

UGHHHH went back to .40. Signal issue resolved. Ummm yeah, ok. Considering the radio didn't change and the small size of the update...WTF?

I'm not sure. I think there is a phone home link installed when you do that which reports back to RIM. Someone hop in here and correct me if I'm wrong?
